WINE AND WEED PT. 1: THE BEATLES OF POT
WINE AND WEED PT. 1: THE BEATLES OF POT

Antoine Creek Farms is a cannabis fan’s dreamiest dream come true. Buried in the hills outside Chelan, this grow operation is the brainchild of a Seattle attorney, Tim McCormack, and his business partner, Brian Slegel. Joined by master grower Joe and the rest of the crew, they call themselves the “fellowship of the green” and have created a beautiful little utopia on their farm. It’s the kind of serendipitous “perfect place, perfect time, perfect people” that has made their fledgling operation appear so tight, sorta like the universe just happening to get the Beatles together in Liverpool.
I visited the farm and talked to Tim about his business.
How did you get the idea for the place?
I acquired that land before 502 passed. I’d always loved the place, the natural beauty of it, and I got it three or four years back. For years, I tried to figure out what to do with it. First, I thought it would be a gay dude ranch, but that didn’t really pencil out. Then I wanted a miniature cattle operation, and I still like the idea of miniature cattle, but it didn’t seem like the right timing. Then someone really got me interested in blueberries, and I looked at the ROI on blueberries and was seriously considering growing blueberries there.
