DENVER — The amount of marijuana from Colorado being seized en route to other states through the U.S. mail has risen, a new report found Wednesday.
The Rocky Mountain High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area said postal inspectors seized more than 493 pounds of pot from packages in 2013.
In 2010, inspectors seized just 57 pounds.
Medial marijuana became legal in Colorado in 2010 and recreational use was legalized in 2012.
