Washington state to allow ‘Joints for Jabs’ vaccination program at marijuana dispensaries

Washington just added a new incentive for residents to get their COVID-19 vaccines: a free joint.

The Liquor and Cannabis Board approved new guidelines on Monday allowing cannabis retailers in the state to give out one free pre-roll joint to customers who receive their COVID-19 vaccine — either first or second dose — at a participating in-store clinic. The “Joints for Jabs” promotion only applies to those 21 and over and will expire on July 12.

But Washington isn’t the first state to offer this unique “poke for a toke” incentive: Arizona launched a similar initiative last week.
