A 12-month investigation by the Shoreline Police Department into illegal marijuana growing and money laundering has culminated in the seizure of more than $980,000 in cash and the arrest of six people.

Last week, undercover detectives served 11 search warrants on homes and commercials buildings in cities from Shoreline to Arlington. In addition to the cash, five homes and 10 vehicles bought with illegal drugs proceeds were also seized. Police found more than 2,000 marijuana plants and several hundred pounds of processed marijuana.

Police say the primary suspect is a 35-year-old Kenmore woman who operated a warehouse in Marysville and several other locations in King and Snohomish County. She was booked into the King County Jail.
