Advice from Washington State: Go ahead and vote Yes
Stacy Bloch | November 2, 2016
I am a native Washingtonian. Even though we were the first and the worst I’m proud of what Washington and Colorado did in 2012 by passing I-502 and A-64 to legalize adult marijuana. Our laws are deeply flawed. We kicked open a door that cannot now be closed. Other states have followed and five more will vote in November to make Cannabis “legalize-ish.” All the states have different laws and all of them kind of suck. That being said, I encourage Californians to vote Yes on Proposition 64 as well as the citizens to yes vote in Maine, Massachusetts, Nevada and Arizona respectively.
If we can just do that, together we can work for changes on a national level that we all desire. We’ll never get everything we want. Things don’t work that way. Together we can see change we can accept. One state at a time.
