Chris Conrad | August 15, 2016

Get ready, world. Seattle Hempfest, the world’s largest  “protestival,” (protest / festival) calling for marijuana legalization, is 25 years old this year and still going strong.

The annual cannabis event, set for August 19 to 21, is coordinated with over 1500 volunteers, features six stages of music, speakers and workshops and draws well over 100,000 attendees each year. The 2016 program, which features prominent cannabis activists from around the world, will celebrate legalized cannabis in Washington State while calling for further reforms there and calling on other states and the federal government to legalize cannabis nationally.
