Local police and federal law enforcement raided several homes in South Seattle and Renton Thursday in connection with a large-scale marijuana growing operation.

Renton police, in a news release issued Friday morning, said authorities searched eight homes and found more than 3,000 marijuana plants and over 150 pounds of processed marijuana.

Two men, ages 32 and 46, were arrested; police would say only that they were “arrested in connection with running the operation.” Several other people were detained.
