Colorado honors axed Arizona professor with $2M grant nomination to study pot’s effects on PTSD

The generous grant to Dr. Sue Sisley would allow her to continue her study into marijuana’s effects on veterans suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder in Arizona and Maryland. She has expressed suspicion that she was fired in July because of political influences.
After an uncertain few months, Colorado has welcomed a once-shunned marijuana researcher with open arms.
Dr. Sue Sisley, who was controversially fired from her teaching position at the University of Arizona in July, has been nominated for a $2 million grant from the Rocky Mountain state to continue her medical research.
