Below is a breakdown of how the counties in Washington State treat recreational marijuana. The moratoriums and bans enacted by each county only affect unincorporated areas. Most of the counties that have moratoriums (temporary bans) have drafted their ordinances to allow for extensions, and have inserted language that indicates that expiration of a moratorium does not render the moratorium invalid. Copies of each ordinance can be found on county sites or can be obtained by contacting the county directly. We will soon come out with a map showing how Washington cities treat recreational marijuana and we will then follow that with county and city maps for Colorado and Oregon.
